Break and Enter Lower Island Lake
Sault Ste Marie Detachment OPP investigated a break and enter into a camp on Lower Island Lake in Awares Township. The camp could only be accessed by water and was last visited by the owners in early October. The camp was entered by forcing open the front door. The camp was rummaged through but nothing appeared to be taken. Anyone with information on this or any crime can call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Any call to crime stoppers will be handled in strict confidence and you will not be asked your name. Crime Stoppers will pay cash rewards for information leading to charges or the recovery of stolen property or drugs. Crimes such as this break and enter can be best solved with the support of members of the community.
