Trashing of Apartment Sends Local Man to Jail

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) - On January 17, 2005 the East Algoma OPP attended an apartment on Mississauga Avenue in Elliot Lake regarding a male destroying his apartment
.
While enroute police received a call from the suspect stating someone had trashed his apartment.

Moments later another call was received advising the suspect was running in the hallways, screaming, yelling causing disturbance.
On scene police located the suspect in his apartment and noted the disarray of the living room.

He was agitated and yelling.

Police placed the individual under arrest for causing a disturbance by yelling. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had two knives on his person and threatened officers. Further more the male had assaulted and threatened a friend.

Charged with the following is Michael NEVILLE (34) of Elliot Lake:
- Threaten Death X 2
- Resist Arrest
- Cause a Disturbance
- Assault Police
- Concealed Weapon
- Weapons Dangerous
- Assault with a Weapon

NEVILLE remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
