Traffic Interruption Advisory

The Ontario Provincial Police advise of the following traffic interruption.

Location: Hwy 17 – 5km east of Blind River

Type (road closure, single lane, one-way traffic etc.): eastbound lane is completely blocked

Detachment area: East Algoma

Time of traffic interruption: 0445am on 19 Jan 10

Reason for the traffic interruption: Tractor trailer trying to park – trailer went into the ditch; truck portion blocking lane.

Detour: (if available) – one lane still open at the present

Estimated duration of traffic interruption: 1-2hrs

Time road reopened: 0635 hrs

The OPP detachment of jurisdiction will provide motor vehicle collision details and traffic Interruption updates as information becomes available.
