Counterfeit Twenty Surfaces in Elliot Lake

Elliot Lake, Ont.

The East Algoma OPP is currently investigation another counterfeit bill. On January 25th, 2007 police attended a local business regarding a complaint of a possible counterfeit $20.00 bill.

Investigation revealed that the $20.00 bill bearing serial # AYV6447284 is indeed counterfeit.

Investigation continuing.

ANOTHER “SNOOZER”

Sault Ste Marie, Ont.,

Once again this month it has been an exceptionally quiet 24 hours of policing for the men and women at the Sault Ste Marie OPP detachment. A check of the occurrences over the past 24 hours finds nothing quirky, different, weird or wonderful happening in our detachment area.

Officers responded to complaints about unwanted persons on others property, concerns with ex-friends calling too much, traffic complaints and other calls of this nature.
