RIDE CHECK PRODUCES IMPAIRED DRIVER

(Blind River, Ontario) On Saturday July 14, 2007 RIDE checks were being conducted in the Town of Blind River, Ontario. These checks resulted in one female being charged with Drinking and Driving.

Stacey SCHELLEKENS (29) of Blind River, Ontario has been charged with “Over 80 mgs”. SCHELLEKENS was released on a Promise to Appear in Blind River court on August 23, 2007.

BREAK AND ENTER TO SHED

(Mississauga First Nation, Ontario) On Monday July 16, 2007 a break and enter to a shed on Village Road on Mississauga First Nation, Ontario was reported to the East Algoma Blind River OPP.

The break and enter occurred between July 15, 2007 at 11:00 pm to July 16, 2007 at 2:00 pm.

Suspects stole a Black 40 GB Ipod, a case of Miller Genuine Draft beer and a 26 oz bottle of Crown Royal.

THEFT OF GENERATOR

(Mashagama Lake, Renwick Township, North of Thessalon, Ontario) On Monday July 16, 2007 the East Algoma Thessalon OPP received a complaint of a theft of a generator from a camp located on Mashagama Lake, approximately 100 kilometers north of Thessalon, Ontario.

The generator was stolen sometime the night of July 14, 2007. The generator is described as a Honda 3000 Watt, red in colour.

WALKING ON VEHICLE CAUSES DAMAGE

(Blind River, Ontario) On Sunday July 15, 2007 at approximately 10:15 am the East Algoma Blind River OPP received a call regarding someone walking on a vehicle overnight and causing damage.

Suspect’s footprints could be seen on the roof, hood, windshield and trunk. Several dents and a broken windshield were sustained to the car.

DRIVER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED

(Plummer Township, North of Bruce Mines, Ontario) On Monday July 16, 2007 at approximately 10:30 pm a member of the East Algoma Thessalon OPP was on patrol in Plummer Township, north of Bruce Mines, Ontario. The officer stopped to speak to the driver on an unrelated manner and discovered that the driver had been drinking.

The driver Angela HANDLEY (53) of Plummer Township has been charged with “Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle” and “Over 80 mgs”.

HANDLEY is scheduled to appear in Thessalon court on September 27, 2007.
