VEHICLE ALARM ALLERTS VICTIM
(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – The East Algoma OPP is currently investigation damage to a vehicle.
Through investigation, police learned that on July 15th, 2012 the vehicle was parked in a parking lot on Roman Avenue while the victim attended a meeting. At approximately 9:30 p.m. a vehicle alarm could be heard and within seconds the victim attended his vehicle.
At this time the victim noted that the driver’s side window was smashed and the suspect(s) stole an undisclosed amount of small change and a pair of glasses.
TELEVISION STOLEN WHILE OWNER WAS AWAY
(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – On the 15th of July 2012 at approximately 2:18 p.m. police received a call from a residence on Axmith Avenue regarding a possible break enter and theft.
On scene police learned that between 12:00 p.m. July 14th, 2012 and 2:00 p.m. July 15th, 2012 suspects entered the residence and removed a 19” flat screen LG Television and some liquor.
At the time of this report, nothing else was reported missing.

UPDATE - SEARCH CONTINUES NORTH OF ELLIOT LAKE, HUMAN FOOT FOUND
(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – On July 16, 2012, the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit located and recovered a body in Semiwite Lake at the Mississagi Provincial Park 22 kilometres north of Elliot Lake. The condition of the body indicates that it has been under water for a lengthy period of time.
The investigation is continuing with the Coroners Office. Forensic identification to be conducted of the remains found.
Police continue their investigation in an effort of identifying the deceased
POLICE RESPOND TO COMPLAINT OF LOUD PARTY.
(Havilland Twp, ON) – On 16th July 2012, at approximately1:50 am, OPP responded to a complaint from a local resident of a loud party going on at the boat launch at Harmony Beach.
Police located the party and dispersed the group.
Several Young Offender’s were charged with offences under the Liquor License Act.
