BARKING DOG MAY HAVE SCARED OFF INTRUDER (Elliot Lake, Ontario) – The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating a break enter and theft at a home on Capillo Road in Elliot Lake. Police received a call on June 14, 2010 at approximately 11:00 a.m.
BARKING DOG MAY HAVE SCARED OFF INTRUDER

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating a break enter and theft at a home on Capillo Road in Elliot Lake.

Police received a call on June 14, 2010 at approximately 11:00 a.m. to attend the residence. On scene police learned that between 1:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. the victim heard his dog barking. He then looked out the window but did not see anyone.

The next morning it was noted that a window in the basement was open and missing was a laptop.

Anyone with information regarding the above break enter and theft is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

LOCAL MALE CHARGED

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – On June 14, 2010 at approximately 6:27 p.m. police received a call regarding a possible threat.

Investigation revealed that a neighbour had allegedly uttered threats to harm an animal and it’s owner. The subject was arrested, charged and released with conditions.

Later that evening police received another call regarding the same subject. On scene police learned that the subject in question had continued his threats.

The subject was then arrested, charged and held for bail in Sault Ste Marie scheduled for todays date.

Charged with the following is Martin McKNIGHT (51) of Elliot Lake.

Fail to comply with conditions
