FAIL TO REMAIN NETS SEVERAL CHARGES FOR ELLIOT LAKE YOUTH (Elliot Lake, Ontario) – Saturday, November 3, 2012 at approximately 4:22 p.m. police received a call regarding a possible theft of a vehicle.

FAIL TO REMAIN NETS SEVERAL CHARGES FOR ELLIOT LAKE YOUTH

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – Saturday, November 3, 2012 at approximately 4:22 p.m. police received a call regarding a possible theft of a vehicle. OPP attended and spoke with the victim and began patrolling the city in attempt to locate the vehicle.

At 7:07 p.m. a call was received regarding a fail to remain motor vehicle collision on Hillside Drive South in Elliot Lake. The description of the suspect vehicle matched the description of the stolen vehicle.

Through patrol, officers located the vehicle on Mississauga Ave. The vehicle was stopped and police confirmed the suspect vehicle was the stolen vehicle.

Charged with Take Motor Vehicle without Consent is a 14-year-old female of Elliot Lake. The accused is also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with the following:

Drive Motor Vehicle – no licence

Fail to Remain

The 14-year-old female is scheduled to appear in Eliot Lake court on December 4, 2012. The name of the accused will not be released under the jurisdiction of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
