RESISTING ARREST NET CHARGES FOR LOCAL WOMAN (Elliot Lake, Ont.) The evening of October 15, 2007 at approximately 6:30 p.m. police received a complaint of a female, allegedly climbing through a window at a residence on Bennett Drive in Elliot Lake.

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The evening of October 15, 2007 at approximately 6:30 p.m. police received a complaint of a female, allegedly climbing through a window at a residence on Bennett Drive in Elliot Lake.

Police located and charged the suspect. Charged with Unlawfully in Dwelling House and Obstruct/Resist Arrest is Lindsey Raquel O’BRIEN (22) of Elliot Lake. O’BRIEN is scheduled to appear in court on December 4th, 2007.

TRUCK AND ATV DESTROYED BY FIRE!

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) Police are currently investigating a possible Arson. On October 16, 2007 at approximately 3:15 a.m. the victim reports hearing a horn go off. He looked out a window and noticed his truck on fire in the back yard of his residence.

The Elliot Lake Fire Department and the East Algoma OPP attended the residence on McQuarrie Place. Damage by the fire is a truck and an ATV. A 16-foot boat near the truck also sustained damage to the motor and seat. Total amount of property damage, $7,000.00.

THEFT OF HOCKEY EQUIPMENT...SOLVED!

(Blind River, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP has charged a local male after investigating the theft of hockey equipment.

Police learned that on October 14, 2007 the victim, before leaving his residence overnight, placed his hockey equipment in the living room. Upon his return on October 15, 2007 the equipment was missing.

Charged with the following is Kody OWL (20) of Mississauga First Nation:

Theft Under
Unlawfully in Dwelling House
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.00

OWL is scheduled to appear in court in Blind River on December 6th, 2007.

LOCK YOUR VEHICLES

(Chapleau, Ontario) Superior East OPP, Chapleau are investigating numerous reports of thefts from motor vehicles.

These investigations have revealed that individuals have been entering vehicles that are not locked during the overnight hours and stealing whatever they can. As well, there have been reports of individuals checking parked vehicles by pulling on the door handles.
Superior East OPP strongly recommend that all vehicles be locked when unattended and take your keys out.
