DRIVER STOPPED AT R.I.D.E. CHECK CHARGED (Elliot Lake, Ontario) On Saturday September 8, 2007 at approximately 1:10 a.m. a motor vehicle was stopped at a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check in Elliot Lake, Ontario.
DRIVER STOPPED AT R.I.D.E. CHECK CHARGED

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) On Saturday September 8, 2007 at approximately 1:10 a.m. a motor vehicle was stopped at a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check in Elliot Lake, Ontario.

The driver of the motor vehicle Yvon PLANTE (49) was subsequently charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with Failure to Provide Breath Sample – Approved Screening Device, Section 254(5).

PLANTE is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on November 6, 2007.

MALE ARRESTED ON OUTSTANDING FEDERAL WARRANT

(Blind River, Ontario) On Friday September 7, 2007 members of the East Algoma Blind River OPP observed a male that was wanted on an outstanding Federal warrant of apprehension and suspension of day pass from Parole.

Herb Wayne CARON (40) was observed on Lawton Street where he was arrested and transported to the Blind River Detachment. CARON was subsequently transported to the Algoma Treatment Rehab Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
