DEATH RULED NATURAL CAUSES The Sault detachment of the O.P.P. has been investigating the death of a 36-year-old Heyden man, Robert Wing, who was discovered deceased at his residence at the Beaumont Trailer Park on August 28.

The Sault detachment of the O.P.P. has been investigating the death of a 36-year-old Heyden man, Robert Wing, who was discovered deceased at his residence at the Beaumont Trailer Park on August 28. The post Mortem results indicate that Mr. Wing died of natural causes.


TWO ACCIDENTS INVESTIGATED
On August 30, O.P.P. officers were dispatched to an accident on Highway 556 in Hodgins Township. A vehicle driven by Mike Amadio of Sault Ste. Marie was heading west when he swerved to avoid a collision with an unknown oncoming vehicle. Mr. Amadio lost control and ran off the road striking several trees. He and a passenger were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.


An accident on highway 17 in Fisher Township was reported to police yesterday. A pick-up truck driven by John Gudini of the Sault was travelling south when he struck a deer. The deer died on impact and the truck received minor damage. The driver was not injured.



BREAK & ENTER AT FIRE DEPARTMENT
(Desbarats, Ontario)
Shortly after midnight this morning, the East Algoma OPP were advised of a Break and Enter that had just occurred at the Johnson Township Fire Department Hall located in Desbarats, Ontario.

Stolen in the break and enter were several pieces of life saving equipment including a generator. This equipment is vital to the operations of the fire department while they are saving lives at occurrences such as fires and motor vehicle collisions.

A dark coloured older model pickup was observed leaving the scene.

(St. Joseph Island, Ontario)
On Friday August 29, 2003 the East Algoma OPP were advised of a residence break and enter that occurred on the D-Line, St. Joseph Island, Ontario.

Electronic equipment, tools, and pictures were stolen in the break and enter.
