The Manitoulin Expositor is reporting that two police officers and one suspect were shot today in Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island.
Reports indicate that while conducting an investigation near Tenth Line, an officer suffered a gunshot wound. A second police officer was shot while attempting to retrieve the first injured officer. The wounded suspect has been apprehended.
The extent of injuries is unknown at the time. However, EMS and ORNGE air ambulance have transported all injured parties to hospital for treatment.
