DRIVING COMPLAINT LEADS TO ARREST

(Garden River First Nation, ON)OPP received a driving complaint around 8:30 pm yesterday evening of a white Honda vehicle travelling eastbound all over the roadway and going through a stop light on Highway 17B.

The vehicle was observed turning onto Wolf St. in Garden River and stopping on the lawn at a residence in the 100 block.

The driver exited the vehicle and began urinating at the rear of the vehicle in front of police.

Thirty-two year old Richard Matthew SHINGWAUK of Moccasin St., Garden River First Nation was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operate a Motor Vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 ml of blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada, and Drive a motor vehicle with open container of liquor contrary to the Liquor Licence Act of Ontario.

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear for Provincial court in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on May 14, 2012. 

VEHICLE IN DITCH RESULTS IN IMPAIRED DRIVER

(Macdonald Twp., ON) –  At approximately 4:30 am this morning OPP came across a Ford Ranger pickup truck in the ditch on Watson’s Road.

The driver in the vehicle exhibited signs of alcohol impairment.

As a result of police investigation, twenty-eight year old Justin GOWLETT of Driftwood Drive, Echo Bay, Ontario was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operate a Motor Vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 ml of blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear for Provincial court in Sault Ste. Marie on May 14, 2012.
