Sprayed Gravel Leads to Mischief Charges (Fisher Twp ON ) On the 19th of April at around 7:14 p.m. Sault Ste Marie OPP received a complaint of a vehicle spinning its tires as it left the Voyageur Lodge parking lot at Hwy# 17 Fisher Twp.
Sprayed Gravel Leads to Mischief Charges
(Fisher Twp ON ) On the 19th of April at around 7:14 p.m. Sault Ste Marie OPP received a complaint of a vehicle spinning its tires as it left the Voyageur Lodge parking lot at Hwy# 17 Fisher Twp. The pickup truck spayed dirt and gravel down the side of a parked vehicle, heavily rutted the driveway and spayed gravel and dirt against the Lodge which was closed at the time. The suspect vehicle was stopped a short time later. Charge with one count of Mischief over $5000 and one count of Mischief under $5000 is Peter Luckal, age 20, of 88 Waite Rd Pontypool Ontario. Luckal will appear in court in Sault Ste Marie in May.

Theft of Jewellery
(Batchawana First Nation ON) Sault Ste Marie OPP have received a complaint of 6 gold rings and a pair of diamond ear rings being taken from a purse in a residence at Superior Ave in the Batchawana First Nation some time between 4:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday afternoon. The residence was locked and showed no sign of being broken in to. The jewellery is valued at over $3000.

LOCAL MALE HEADING TO BAIL COURT
(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – On April 18, 2011 the East Algoma OPP received a complaint of a possible harassment. Through investigation it was learned that a male subject had been attending a local business establishment and making staff and especially a female worker uncomfortable. The subject attended the business several times and allegedly made it known that he was partial to one particular employee.

The male subject was advised not to return to the business and was served with a trespass notice. The subject continued to try and contact the victim by calling the business and leaving items for her. On April 19, 2011 police located and arrested Jason Earl HENDERSON (36) of Elliot Lake. HENDERSON is charged with Criminal Harassment. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing in Sault Ste Marie on today’s date.

THEFT OF INTERCOM
(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – Police are currently investigating the theft of an intercom system from an apartment building at 10 Paris Drive in Elliot Lake. Sometime between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on April 17, 2011 unknown person(s) removed the entire intercom system from the outside wall near the entrance. The intercom is an AutoDialer ADC series by Mircom, silver in color, valued at $3,000.

SHOPLIFTING
(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – April 7th, 2011 the OPP received a call to attend a store in the local shopping mall regarding a theft. When police arrived on scene, it was learned that the subject had left the area after being advised by staff that she was under arrest for theft. Investigation revealed that staff had allegedly observed the subject in the store acting suspiciously. The subject was followed and observed taking items. On April 15, 2011 the subject attended the OPP detachment and was arrested. Charged with Theft under is Lynn Kim BLAIS of Elliot Lake. BLAIS is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on June 7, 2011.
