Easter Weekend Driving

Sault Ste Marie OPP are asking all motorist traveling this weekend to take care and slow down. Spring driving brings it’s own risks and hazards. With varying temperatures and weather patterns drivers can expect to encounter changing road surface conditions. You can expect to find wet roads, black ice in locations shaded by rock faces and even small amounts of running water due to snow melt. If the weather warms up significantly moose on the sides of the roads especially at night can be expected. Wearing your seat belt and driving at the speed limit and to the road conditions gives you the best chance to enjoy a wonderful Easter weekend. OPP traffic enforcement officers will be out all weekend with enforcement priorities on drinking drivers, speed and seatbelt usage.
