LOCAL MALE CHARGED WITH POSSESSION
(WHITE RIVER, ON) - On July 20, 2013 Superior East Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged James DOUGLAS of White River with Possession of Methamphetamine. The OPP officers arrested the accused on Highway 17 in Alanen Township at 9:40 pm. Approximately 13 pills, street value of $260 were seized during the arrest. The accused is scheduled to appear in Wawa Criminal Court on September 9, 2013 to answer to this charge.
THEFT FROM LOCAL SCRAPYARD
(WAWA, ON) - The Superior East Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating the theft of a set of high performance tires and rims from Wawa’s Scrapyard. The OPP received the complaint on August 24 and it is believed the tires were stolen sometime between 4:00 pm on August 23 and 7:45 am on the 24. The tires are 20” low profile made by Dunlop and the rims are aftermarket made by OZ. The estimated value of these items is five hundred dollars. OPP continue to investigate this matter.
