RADAR AND SPEED ENFORCEMENT USUALLY FIND OTHER ILLEGAL ACTIVITY

Heyden, Ont.,

Police officers who regularly conduct radar and speeding enforcement often find other violations that the offenders have committed.

Yesterday at about 2:30 p.m. an officer with the OPP Traffic and Marine Unit in Sault Ste Marie stopped a vehicle on Hwy 17 in Heyden for speeding. The officer discovered that the driver has had his licence suspended for two separate reasons but continued to drive.

Fifty-year-old Walter Shelley of Heyden was charged with Driving Under Suspension and Speeding. Mr. Shelley will be appearing in Provincial Offences Court in a month’s time to answer to the Driving Under Suspension charge
