DRIVER UNINJURED AFTER COLLIDING WITH HORSES

(Laird Twp., ON) – Yesterday evening at 6:30 pm a Dodge Caravan was westbound on Lake George Road in Laird Township when the driver noticed several horses on the roadway.

The driver attempted to stop but slid sideways into two of the horses. There was damage to the vehicle but the driver was not injured.

The two horses are in critical condition back at their owner’s residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION LEADS TO IMPAIRED

(Fenwick Twp., ON) – Tuesday evening at 10:20 pm OPP officer’s were dispatched to a Dodge pick up truck in the ditch on Pineshores Road in Fenwick Township.

Upon arrival at the scene driver was attempting to shovel himself out. Further investigation revealed that the driver had been drinking and showed signs of impairment.

The driver, 31 year old Markus DITTRICH was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with Operating a Motor Vehicle with over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol.

DITTRICH was released on a Promise of Appear for court on March 23rd, 2009.
