ASSAULT CHARGES FOR LOCAL MAN
(Elliot Lake, Ontario) January 3, 2009 police received a call to attend a residence on Mississauga Avenue in the City of Elliot Lake regarding an assault in progress.
Police arrived on scene and learned that the suspect had left the residence prior to police arrival. Investigation revealed that the suspect had attended the residence and allegedly assaulted both parties at the residence.
The OPP located and arrested the accused.
Charged with Assault X2 is Douglas Patrick WILLIAMS (43) of Elliot Lake. WILLIAMS is scheduled to attend Elliot Lake court on March 3, 2009.
Don’t Drink and Drive
(Elliot Lake, Ontario) January 3, 2009 while on general patrol an OPP officer noticed a vehicle on Hillside Drive South lodged on a snow bank.
The officers stopped to assist the driver and through investigation the driver was charged.
Charged with Impaired Operation and Over 80 is Jan R. WILEN (35) of Niagara, Ontario. WILEN is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on March 3, 2009.
