A collision between a moose and a Greyhound bus has killed one person and sent several others to hospital. The fatal crash occurred 32 km north of Wawa on Highway 17. A westbound Greyhound (Toronto to Vancouver) struck the moose just after 3:00 this morning.

The bus rolled onto its side ejecting the driver who sustained multiple fractures. Several of the 50 passengers on board were taken to Lady Dunn Hospital in Wawa for treatment.

The Wawa detachment of the O.P.P. is investigating. The highway will remain closed in both directions this morning.
