COLLISION ON HIGHWEAY 129 CLAIMS LIFE OF IRON BRIDGE MAN
OPP East Algoma Detachment

The Thessalon detachment of the East Algoma O.P.P. is currently investigating a collision that has claimed one life.

At about 6:15 yesterday morning, a vehicle driven by Edward Pillon, age 71, of Iron Bridge was travelling southbound on Highway 129, approximately 107 km north of Thessalon, The Pillon vehicle crossed the centre line, hitting the northbound guard-rail where the vehicle came to rest.

Mr. Pillon was pronounced dead at the scene.

The O.P.P. has called in a technical traffic collision investigator. At the time of the accident it was overcast with no precipitation.
