LOCAL DEALERSHIP VICTIM OF MISCHIEF
(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – Police are currently investigating a mischief to vehicles on Perini Road in Elliot Lake.

June 5, 2011 at 7:29 a.m. the East Algoma OPP received a call to attend the dealership on Perini Road regarding a mischief to vehicles on the lot.

On scene police learned that unknown person(s) allegedly used a fire extinguisher and sprayed five new vehicles. When the extinguisher was empty it was allegedly used to break a passenger side window on a new vehicle and the windshield of an older vehicle.

The damage occurred sometime between 9:00 p.m. June 4, 2011 and 7:29 a.m. June 5th, 2011.

TWO CHARGED WITH ROBBERY
(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – June 4, 2011 at approximately 7:00 p.m. officers of the East Algoma OPP responded to a call at 151 Ontario Avenue in Elliot Lake.

On scene police learned that the victim had been in his suite when a female and male entered the suite. Investigation revealed that the male allegedly threatened the victim and the female removed a TV without the permission of the victim.

A short time later the suspects left the suite without further incident.

Both suspects were known to the victim.

On June 5, 2011 at approximately 9:19 p.m. police located and arrested both suspects.

Charged with the following is Raymond Michael O’CONNELL (44) of Elliot Lake.

Robbery with Violence
Assault with a Weapon
Theft Under
Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Breach of Probation

Also charged with the following is Sirena Grace McINTYRE (26) of Elliot Lake.

Both subjects remain in custody in Sault Ste Marie awaiting a bail hearing.

BREAK ENTER AND THEFT
(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – After responding to a mischief call on Perini Road, officers of the East Algoma OPP patrolled the area and noted a broken window at an adjacent building.

Investigation revealed that unknown person(s) attended the area and smashed a glass window then unlocked a deadbolt. Once inside the culprit(s) attended the office area and rummaged through drawers and cupboards. Missing is a small donation box which contained an undisclosed amount of money. Prior to leaving the office the suspect(s) allegedly took a fire extinguisher from the wall.

Through investigation, it was learned that the extinguisher taken from the office had been used in the adjacent parking lot to cause mischief to several vehicles.

The Break Enter and Theft occurred between 9:00 p.m. June 4th, 2011 and 12:07 a.m. June 5th, 2011.
