Local Business Falls Victim To Theft The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating a break and enter and theft from a local business in the City of Elliot Lake. On March 21st, 2006 police received a call to attend a business on Elizabeth Walk.

The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating a break and enter and theft from a local business in the City of Elliot Lake.

On March 21st, 2006 police received a call to attend a business on Elizabeth Walk. Investigation revealed that sometime between 8:30 p.m. on March 20th, 2006 and 6:45 a.m. on March 21st, 2006 unknown person(s) entered the business, removed cash and a black and white GPS Map 76.

Anyone with information regarding the above Break and Enter and Theft is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-705-942-7867 or 1-800-222-8477.

Investigation continuing.

Car & House Damaged By Pellet Gun

Batchewana First Nation, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to a Frontenac Street address on the First Nation after the owner of a vehicle found her windshield damaged.

It appears that someone in the neighbourhood shot at the vehicle with a pellet gun and damaged the windshield. While at the scene the officer was notified that a nearby house had also had a hole shot in the siding but what appeared to be a pellet gun.

The investigation has been turned over the Batchewana First Nation Police for further follow up.
