MALE CHARGED AFTER TRUCK ROLLS OVER
(Elliot Lake, ON.) – On March 7, 2011 at 10:00 p.m. police received a call of a motor vehicle collision that had just occurred on Elliot Lake near Spine Road Beach.

Officers attended where it was learned that a male had picked up a group of youths at Spruce Avenue Beach and was headed to Spine Road Beach on the frozen lake. As the truck reached Spine Road Beach the driver lost control and the truck rolled over. This resulted in the two passengers who were in the box of the truck to be ejected.

One of the passengers suffered serious non life threatening injuries and was transported to Elliot Lake hospital for medical attention. Two other passengers suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the truck, 18 year old Marc Paquette of Elliot Lake has been charged with one count of Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm. Paquette is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on May 3, 2011.
