Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating the theft of equipment off a camping trailer in the Heyden area.

Sometime between last Thursday and yesterday thieves took two, thirty pound propane bottles off the front of a camping trailer. The theft took place in the Trout Lake area of Heyden.

Two Charged With Producion Of Marijuana

The OPP Joint Forces Drug Unit which consists of members from the OPP Drug Enforcement Section, OPP North East Region, Sault Ste Marie Police Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant on May 12th, 2006 in the City of Elliot Lake.

During the search police located a large quantity of Marijuana plants. Total plant valued is $105,500.00. Also located was 5.6 grams of magic mushroom, a value of $75.00. Growing equipment valued at approximately $300.00 was also seized by police.

Charged with Production of Marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance is Denis Marcel BEAUDRY (46) of Elliot Lake. Also charged with Production Of Marihuana is Ian BEAUDRY (18) of Elliot Lake. Both accused are scheduled to appear in court on July 6th, 2006.
