OPP CHARGE LOCAL MALE WITH SEXUAL INTERFERENCE (Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP in Elliot Lake has charged a local man after receiving information regarding a possible sexual assault.

OPP CHARGE LOCAL MALE WITH SEXUAL INTERFERENCE

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP in Elliot Lake has charged a local man after receiving information regarding a possible sexual assault.

Charged with Sexual Interference is Paul BOGENSBURGER (43) of Elliot Lake. BOGENSBURGER is scheduled to appear in court on August 7th, 2007.

BREAK ENTER AND THEFT

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) On May 24th, 2007 at approximately 10:40 a.m. police received a call to attend a residence on Dieppe Avenue in Elliot Lake regarding a possible Break and Enter.

On scene police learned that the homeowners left the residence at 8:30 a.m. and sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. unknown person(s) entered the residence and stole a camera.

Vehicle Stop Leads to Drug Seizure

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) In the early morning of Saturday the 26th day of May 2007 officers of the East Algoma OPP with assistance from the Joint Forces Drug Section Elliot Lake/S.S.M. stopped a vehicle on Easten Drive North in Elliot Lake.

As a result of a search of the vehicle police located and seized; 112.5 grams of Cocaine (Street Value $11,250.00), 28.9 grams of marihuana (Street value $580.00) and $10,288.55 in cash. Also seized Drug Paraphernalia and a cell phone.

Charged with the following offences is Bradley DAVIDSON (47) of Elliot Lake.

POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (Cocaine) for TRAFFICKING

POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (Marihuana) for TRAFFICKING contrary CONTROLLED DRUGS AND SUBSTANCES ACT.

Also charged is Shawn GRAVELLE age 25 of Elliot Lake with the following:

POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (Cocaine) for TRAFFICKING

POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (Marihuana) for TRAFFICKING contrary CONTROLLED DRUGS AND SUBSTANCES ACT.

BREACH OF PROBATION (2 COUNTS)

Both DAVIDSON and GRAVELLE remain in custody awaiting a Bail Hearing.

SHOPLIFTING IS A CRIME

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) On May 25th, 2007 the East Algoma OPP responded to a call of a possible shoplifter at a local grocery store.

Charged with Theft Under is Robert Joseph BERGERON (80) of Elliot Lake. BERGERON is scheduled to appear in court on July 3rd, 2007.

CULPRIT(S)ENTERED RESIDENCE WHILE VICTIM IS SLEEPING

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating a Break Enter and Theft. Sometime between 12:00 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. on Thursday the 24th of May 2007, unknown person(s) entered an apartment at 22 Mississauga Avenue while the owner was sleeping.

Stolen from the residence was a purse with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police would like to remind everyone to ensure doors and windows are always locked. Make sure that your sliding door has a screw in the top of the track to prevent the door from being lifted out when it is closed.

Also check the latches on your windows ensuring they are strong, tight fitting and consider installing a motion detector around your home.
