REAL LUCKY-THIS TIME!!
Searchmont, Ont.,

An unidentified driver of a pick up truck learned two valuable driving lessons yesterday.

At about 3:30 p.m., Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to the railway crossing on Ranger Lake Rd in Searchmont. A driver of a westbound pick up truck had fallen asleep at the wheel and gone off the roadway. Not to be out done by his bad luck of falling asleep at the wheel, his truck came to rest across the railway tracks.

Members of Sault Ste Marie OPP arrived at the scene only to discover that the driver had freed his truck from the railway tracks and left the scene. There was no damage to the tracks and apparently no damage to the pick up truck.

Special thanks to the passing motorist who stopped to help the driver of the truck and call the police.
