REPLAY: On the second day of Christmas, we surprise the ‘friendliest guy in the neighbourhood’

We pay it forward to Lyle, a role model for the Grand View community

Lyle is a crossing guard at Grand View Public School who goes above and beyond for the school community.

In addition to his regular crossing guard duties, Lyle acts as an outstanding role model for everyone he meets.

He cleans up garbage in the school yard, looks for lost or misplaced items for the children, shovels street corners and paths, assists elderly neighbours with their garbage and recycling bins and salts and sands slippery grounds.

Lyle is always giving back to those around him and brightening the day of those he meets. So to say thanks, we wanted to do something special for him!

Next year marks our 10th year of 12 Days of Christmas Random Acts of Kindness surprises. We adapted the 12 Days of Christmas program once again this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Our surprises were filmed weeks ago and all applicable public health protocols were followed.
