Mitchell will be driving the machine after the first period of Friday night’s hockey game against Bowling Green.

Mitchell won the honor by being top-bidder, along with staff accountant Craig Krouth, on a silent auction at this past summer’s Lake State Golf Classic that benefits Laker Club and LSSU Foundation Operations.

Saturday night’s game features senior recognition and the inaugural Check.Slash.Survive fundraising event to support local organizations that help fight all types of cancer.
