Openings for Trades and Production Workers

With Tenaris’ total level of investment of $117 million at their Sault Ste. Marie facility, they need to grow their team.

“We are looking to fill 30 to 40 production worker positions and trades roles at the Sault Ste. Marie facility,” says Britta Allen, HR Industrial Relations Senior Manager for Tenaris. “These are entry level positions that offer applicants an opportunity to work in advanced manufacturing while utilizing automation and new technologies. This is a dynamic industry conducive to acquiring skills, offering challenges, knowledge sharing, and building strong networks.”

Entry Level Jobs with Room to Grow

Tenaris is looking to fill a range of roles with individuals who are interested in starting a career in advanced manufacturing. The production roles require a grade 12 education, but no previous experience in the industry is needed. Applicants should be keen to learn new skills.

The company is also hiring for a variety of trades positions. They are looking for tradespeople who have completed their electrical or mechanical certifications as well as individuals who are just starting their apprenticeships.

“This is a great opportunity to start a career in an industry that is driving change and innovating. Tenaris offers extensive opportunities for learning and professional development,” says Britta.

Tenaris Offers More than Just a Paycheque

Starting a career with Tenaris is a great way to learn new skills in an innovative and exciting industry. They employ 19,000 people worldwide and offer unique opportunities for career development.

“Tenaris is a company that values education, training, and professional development. We have a corporate university, TenarisUniversity, dedicated to extending learning opportunities for our employee base around the world.  This consists of classroom and/or online learning in a range of topics,” explains Britta.

She also values the opportunities that Tenaris employees have to contribute to their communities. “Being active in our communities is also very important and we do so through partnerships and initiatives centered on strengthening education through scholarships, strategic sponsorships, science fairs, robotics, etc., and on volunteerism. We hope to get back into volunteering once it is safe to do so,” she says.

Application Process

According to Britta, they are hoping to hire as many local people as possible. “We have a strong community of folks in Sault Ste. Marie who are passionate about manufacturing and we hope these roles can be filled locally,” she says. “That being said, we are looking for talent and welcome individuals, both locally and beyond, who are interested in working in advanced manufacturing to reach out to us and explore if we are a good fit.”
