This International Women’s Day, the women behind Superior Staff it Inc. are promoting the theme, Embrace Equity, to celebrate the achievements of women worldwide.
Superior Staff it Inc, which was founded by, Sheri-Ann Morin, supports a work culture where women’s careers thrive and achievements are celebrated. The women employed at Superior Staff it Inc., which includes both operations and frontline workers, are encouraged to take charge of the career and success they want while giving back and inspiring others to do the same.
This year’s theme, Embrace Equity, encourages individuals to differentiate the meaning of equality and equity to truly understand the importance of equity in the workplace. Equity recognizes each person has different considerations and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome. Superior Staff it Inc.’s vision includes developing a culture that maintains staff satisfaction, and how do you do this? By creating equity for each employee.
Superior Staff it’s model, supplemental staffing for Algoma’s Long-term Care Homes, gives our frontline workers an opportunity to create their own schedules. This allows women in the workforce to have the ability to balance additional responsibilities and pursuits such as childcare and education, giving them control of their careers and work-life balance.
Superior Staff it’s recognition of the Ontario Personal Support Worker Association Membership has provided opportunities for many immigrants to Canada seeking prospects in the Canadian workforce, and specifically health care, so their skills and education from the country they came from can be transferred in order gain employment as a Personal Support Worker in Canada.
Employees of Superior Staff it Inc. are encouraged to play off of their strengths in order to elevate, celebrate, and amplify achievements in the workforce. President and Founder Sheri-Ann, promotes leadership for her employees by providing educational opportunities to her employees to further their skills and knowledge, celebrating employee’s success and achievements weekly through recognition and praise, and adopting a collaborative approach to all projects and decisions. Everyone is a valued contributor to the success of Superior Staff it.
Promoting equity in the workplace reaches even further with Superior Staff it’s community initiatives and passion for giving back to the community. Sheri-Ann’s newest initiative, Cycling Without Age, is a great example of creating equity within the community by reducing social isolation and giving opportunities to seniors and mobility-challenged individuals to experience the thrill of a bike ride in specialized bikes.
With Superior Staff it Inc. currently being represented by women in the workforce, they are a true example of women’s leadership, achievements, and empowerment, while promoting an equal and inclusive world through equity.
