Superior Staff it Inc., a healthcare staffing agency owned by Sheri- Ann Morin, Sheri-Ann is proud to announce a new service for seniors in our community: "Compassionate Care Aide" Compassionate care is a unique approach to senior care that focuses on providing emotional and social support to seniors and their families.

One of the main benefits of compassionate care is that it helps seniors feel more connected and engaged in their community and environment. Studies have shown that seniors who have social connections and a sense of purpose are less likely to experience depression, loneliness and isolation, and have better overall health outcomes.

A Compassionate Care Aide is different from a PSW (personal support worker). A PSW provides assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and meal preparation, while a compassionate care aide takes the time to read, play, and helps them to find ways to stay engaged and active in their environments.

The types of activities that a compassionate care aide can do with a senior might include:

  • Going for walks together
  • Having conversations over a cup of tea
  • Playing games or doing puzzles
  • Reading together
  • Helping with hobbies or crafts
  • Light Cleaning
  • Meal preparation
  • Running errands
  • And many more, tailored to the individual senior's interests and needs.

At Superior Staff it Inc, their mission is to create innovative healthcare staffing solutions, focused on filling the gaps by providing dedicated, compassionate and ethical healthcare professionals to their community partners.

If you are travelling or spending more time away from home and looking for a companion for your loved one, please don't hesitate to contact Superior Staff it Inc. or your long term care facility for more information. They're here to help and to make a difference in the lives of our seniors.
