Crime Stoppers, the Sault Ste Marie Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public’s help regarding a rash of break and enters in the city of Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding area.

Crime Stoppers, the Sault Ste Marie Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public’s help regarding a rash of break and enters in the city of Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding area.
 
There is no set time that a break-in is more likely to occur. 
 
They occur during the day and night.
 
Throughout the holiday season the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service has had over 45 reported break-in’s since December first.
 
Over 14 break and enters have been investigated by the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police in the outlying areas of Aweres and Goulais Township, and MacDonald, Meredith and Aberdeen Additional Township during that same time period.
 
Thousands of dollars’ worth of property has been stolen and homes have been damaged.
 
Crime Stoppers is offering double rewards for any information that could lead to solving these break and enters.
