NEWS RELEASE

SHOT IN THE DARK PRODUCTIONS

*************************
Proceeds to ARCH and Shot in the Dark

Trivia Night will happen at LopLops on October 22 with the trivia starting at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $10 each or $35 for a team of four. Topics will range from arts to entertainment, sports to science, culture to current events and more. There will be prizes, food, fun, and the whole night will be hosted by the cast of Noises Off! – Shot in the Dark’s fall theatrical production. Not a trivia buff? Join us for entertainment after trivia is over as The Crossroad Magdalenes take the stage - $5 cover.

All proceeds from the event will be shared between Shot in the Dark (a local theatre company) and ARCH – their partner charity for their fall production.

This fundraiser is part of the Shot in the Dark philosophy of using art to give back to the community – a philosophy started by their late founder, Sue Barber. The Shot in the Dark team chose to partner with ARCH for this event because they knew it was a charity that would have mattered to Sue. They plan to continue to hold events like this to support a different partner charity for each of their three productions this year.

Tickets for the Trivia Night fundraiser are available by phone – call (705) 542-2194 – or at the door on Saturday night. The event is limited to the first 20 teams to register.

About Noises Off!

Noises Off! Is a hilarious farce comedy that follows a troupe of actors from their dress rehearsal, to backstage at a performance, and onward as they fall in and out of love and up and down the stairs. This show will have you rolling in the aisles as they stumble through their lines and blocking while trying not to kill each other. The show will hit the stage from November 9-12, 2016 at The Tech.

Individual tickets for Noises Off! are $20 for students and seniors, and $25 for adults. Or, buy a season ticket to all three shows this year (includes The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Young Frankenstein) for $60 for students and seniors, and $75 for adults (a savings of $10 over buying individual tickets). Tickets are available at www.shotinthedarkssm.com or by phone at (705) 542-2194.
