Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to a truck fire at the end of Old Garden River Road.

A dirt road continues into the bush on Rankin Reserve, where Ontario Provincial Police on scene said a Ford pickup truck apparently attempted to cross a bridge intended for all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).

It was found upside down and on fire on the creek bed below.

The fire was extinguished and fire services made an attempt to dyke the creek to lessen fluids spilling from the wreckage.

Police said the driver was not on scene when they arrived and officers are attempting to contact the owner of the vehicle.
