Living a healthy, balanced life is important for all of us, but for someone living with diabetes it is imperative. Ethan Bedley was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 11 years old, and his family has embraced a healthy living attitude towards his management of the disease. The theme of this family's message perfectly complements an upcoming free event hosted by the Canadian Diabetes Association. The Diabetes/Healthy Living expo will take place on September 27th at the Machine Shop in Mill Square from 12-5pm, and feature healthy food samples, demonstrations and guest speaker Ted Nolan addressing the crowd about persistence and perseverance.
