PolioPlus is a Rotary initiative to end polio around the world. The organization and its partners have reduced polio cases by 99% worldwide since their first project to vaccinate children began over 35 years ago. Locally, Sault Rotary North and the Sault Ste. Marie Rotary are hosting an event on October 20 at the Grand Theatre, featuring cocktails, appetizers and a movie screening, with all proceeds going to PolioPlus and helping to immunize children from the crippling disease.
