Theft Charged Laid
At approx. 7:30pm on the 27th of January officers were called to attend at Zellers at the Station Mall regarding a shoplifter. It is alleged that the accused 46-year-old Christian Ferry of Queen street east entered Zellers Department store and took a chocolate bar off a shelf, unwrapped it and proceeded to eat it, he then disposed of the wrapper. Shortly there after he was apprehended by store security and the police were then called. The accused was arrested by police and charged with 1 count of theft and is to appear in court on the 28th of February.
Male Charged with Causing a Disturbance
At approx. 6:30 yesterday evening Police were dispatched to 17 Terry Fox Place regarding a male yelling and screaming at residents of that complex, causing numerous persons to take notice. At 6:45pm the accused 35-year-old David Swanson was arrested by officers and charged with 1 count of causing a Disturbance. The accused is to appear in court on the 7th of March.
Break and Enter
Yesterday at approx. 2:00pm 22 year old Thomas Fields of Smale Avenue turned himself in at the City Police Station in regards to an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that the accused did break into Square One Mall on the 27th of June 2004, located at 626 Queen Street East. While the accused was inside the mall he proceeded to attempt to break into Macleod Dance Studio, Main Street Salon and Curves Fitness center. Thomas Fields has been charged with 1 count of break and enter and 3 counts of attempted break and enter. The accused is to appear in court on the 28th of February.
No Charged Laid
On Wednesday the 26th of January officers were called to Nino Drive regarding a motor vehicle collision involving a 3-year-old boy. It is believed that the boy was in his own driveway and was struck by the family vehicle operated by his mother. The child sustained minor non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for observation. There will be no charges laid in this incident.
