YOUNG OFFENDERS
2 young offenders were arrested and charged Friday afternoon on Great Northern Road when they were found in possession of 2 stolen bicycles. One of the young persons also had 4 DVD’S that were stolen from the Zellers store.
One of the young offenders is scheduled to appear in court on March 16th while the other is scheduled for court on March 23rd. Both young persons are charged with 2 counts of possession of stolen property.
IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGE
A motor vehicle collision on Friday night at 11:35 pm resulted in 39 year-old Renee Delarosbil being charged with impaired driving and over 80 mg. The accident occurred at the intersection of Douglas Street and Korah Road where it is alleged that Ms. Delarosbil proceeded through the intersection before having a green light and was struck by a vehicle that was traveling west bound on Douglas Street.
No injuries were reported in the accident that saw the Delarosbil vehicle sustain light damage and the second vehicle receive moderate damage. Ms. Delarosbil will appear in court on March 15th.
CRIMINAL HARASSMENT CHARGES
A 40 year-old man will appear in court on March 22nd on a charge of criminal harassment that is alleged to have begun in April of 2002. The accused has attempted to contact the victim by different methods that include contacting other persons known to the victim. The accused’s actions have caused the victim to fear for their safety.
SECOND LINE/PRENTICE AVE. COLLISION
At 11:58 Friday night a 2-vehicle collision at the intersection of Second Line West and Prentice Ave. left both vehicles with severe damage. The car being driven by 26 year-old Sandy Boissoneau was north bound on Prentice attempting to cross Second Line when it was struck by a SUV driven by Claude Mantha, age 47. Mr. Mantha received minor injuries in the collision. Ms. Boissoneau has been charged with failing to yield to traffic on a through highway.
GNR/SECOND LINE BUMPER
An accident at the intersection of Great Northern Road and Second Line on Sunday evening left 2 vehicles severely damaged and one driver charged. The truck being driven by 47 year-old Gary Boyer was attempting to turn left from Great Northern onto 2nd Line when it was struck by a south bound van driven by Cara Dorans, age 25. Mr. Boyer was charged with making a turn not in safety. No injuries were reported.
