SUSPECTS SPRAYED WITH BEAR SPRAY
On the 20th of November around 2:30 am 2 persons broke into a home in the 100 block of Boston Avenue but were surprised when a resident of the address sprayed the suspects with bear spray. The suspects fled the scene but were taken into custody a short time later. 24-year old Denis Blais of 56 London Street has been charged with one count of breach of probation and one count of break and enter with intent to commit an offence. He will appear in bail court this morning. A 15-year old youth has also been charged with one count of break and enter with the intent to commit an offence as well as 2 counts of breach of probation. When officers searched the youth they found a pellet gun on the accused as well as a knife. The pellet gun was a .32 calibre imitation Crossman 4.5 mm bb gun. The youth has also been charged with one count of possession for purpose dangerous to the public and one count of possession contrary to order-fail to surrender documents. Both accused persons will appear in bail court today.
47-YEAR OLD MALE ASSAULTS GIRLFRIEND
On the 20th of November around 2 pm City Police attended in the downtown area for a domestic assault. It is alleged that a 47-year old male assaulted his girlfriend by hitting her in the face twice. The victim did not require medical treatment. The male has been charged with one count of assault and will appear in court on December 20th.
MALE CHARGED WITH ASSAULT
City Police arrested 2 people on the 20th of November after they completed their investigation into an assault that occurred on the 14 of November around 4:30 am in the downtown area. It is alleged that 19-year old Ryan Waite of 174 Central Park Crescent and an 18-year old person assaulted a male by punching and kicking the victim after a verbal altercation. The victim required medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries. Ryan Waite has been charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm. The 18-year old has also been charged with assault causing bodily harm and one count of breach of probation. The breach of probation charge stems from a charge under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and therefore the identify of the 18-year old cannot be released. Both accused persons will appear in court on January 10, 2005.
FEMALE CHARGED WITH IMPARIED
On the 21st of November around 6:45 am City Police received a call to a central part of down regarding a female being intoxicated and having care and control of a motor vehicle. When officers arrived they arrested 22-year old Nicole Beaudry of 169 Brookfield Drive for one count of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and one count of consume over the legal limit. She will appear in court on January 10, 2004.
MALE CHARGED WITH ASSAULT
Yesterday afternoon City Police arrested 27-year old Joseph Bryze of 563 Second Line West for assault after a male complained of being assault by the accused. It is alleged that the accused and male got into an argument at a downtown residence that escalated to the point where the accused grabbed the victim by the neck and punched him in the face and kicked him. The victim did not require any medical treatment. The accused has been charged with one count of assault and will appear in court on January 10, 2005.
RED LIGHT FAIL TO STOP CHARGES LAID
Yesterday afternoon at 12:30 pm City Police attended at the intersection of Pim Street and Queen Street East for an accident with non-life threatening injuries. It is alleged that a car operated by Patrick McMillan of 408-100 James Street was traveling southbound on Pim Street when he collided with a car traveling westbound on Queen Street being operated by Robert Rowe of 104-99 Pine Street. Mr. McMillan has been charged with one count of red light-fail to stop under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. Vehicle damage is described as moderate to severe. Mr. McMillan attended at the hospital on his own.

City Police received a report of an attempt break and enter in the 700 block of Pine Street on the 20th. Also on the 20th a homeowner reported that overnight someone entered the cellar of a residence in the 200 block of Albert St W overnight. Thieves made off with a substantial amount of snow machine parts.
