An individual has been taken to hospital after they were rescued from the St. Marys River by emergency crews Friday.
Sault Ste. Marie Police Service spokesperson Lincoln Louttit told SooToday that officers responded to a report of a person in the river around 9 a.m.
"Thanks to assistance from the public, officers were able to locate the person and pull them from the water," Louttit said.
