Sault City Police had a routine Friday night.

A 38-year-old man was arrested for assaulting his stepson. The call came in to police at 11:00 last night from the city’s west end. The stepfather is accused of slapping the 12-year-old youngster and throwing him onto a bed. There were no injuries. The stepfather cannot be identified as it would also identify the victim. He will appear in court on November 1.

City police are playing host to three intoxicated citizens this morning. There was also one individual picked up for breach of release conditions.
