PEDESTRIAN TREATED AND RELEASED
The pedestrian hit by a vehicle yesterday on Great Northern Road was treated for injuries and released from hospital. The woman was crossing the street in a westerly direction when she was struck by the vehicle, which was heading north in the centre lane. Police have not yet released the names of the driver or the 57-year-old who was injured.

The City Police R.I.D.E. program was active this weekend. On Friday, 675 vehicles were checked with 2 twelve-hour suspensions handed out.
Yesterday, Saturday, 300 checks were made with 1 twelve-hour suspension and two impaired charges laid.
QUIET NIGHT
City police report a fairly quiet night last night with no accidents. There were several calls of a routine nature.
