2 Vehicle Accident
City Police are investigating a two-vehicle accident that occurred Sunday at the corner of Wellington Street East and Shannon Road.
This newer-model maroon RAV-4 appears to have hit another vehicle and left the road, after which it ran into a Shannon Road apartment building.
Both vehicles suffered significant damage.
One person was taken by ambulance to Sault Area Hospital for observation.
Taser Needed To Restrain Suspect
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service used a Taser gun early Sunday morning to restrain a suspect.
The incident is believed to have occurred during a stolen property investigation.
The suspect was taken into custody and is expected to make a video court appearance later this morning.
Further details may be released Monday morning.
City firefighters extinguished a chimney fire just after 11 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Sherbourne Street.
More information may be released by City Police on Monday morning.
