THREATS SERIOUS
On the 20th of Aug. 2003 at approximately 1:00 p.m., Adrian Smith age 19, an inmate at the Northern Treatment Centre threatened to kill one of the staff. Police Officers attended and arrested and charged Smith with threatening death. He will be attending bail court on the 21st of Aug. 20.
ASSAULT CHARGE
On the 18th Aug. 2003 at approximately 8:15 p.m., Patty Bellerive age 37 of 368 Bush St. assaulted the victim by swinging a screwdriver at her and striking her in the elbow. An argument ensued between Bellerive and the victim at a local donut shop at which time she assaulted the victim. She was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon contrary to the criminal code of Canada. No injuries were sustained in the altercation. Bellerive will attend court the 29th of Sept. 2003.
FAILING TO APPEAR
On 14th of Feb. 2003 at approximately 10:15 p.m., Gary Hines age 24 was at a residence of an acquaintance. A verbal argument erupted and Hines and the victim got into a fist fight. Hines punched the victim several times in the face and head causing several injuries to his face and head. As a result, Hines was arrested and charged for the assault causing bodily harm. He was to appear in court at a later date and failed to do so. City Police Officers located Hines at his place of employment and arrested and charged him for failing to attend court. He will appear in bail court this afternoon.
PUT'EM UP! PUT'EM UP!
On the 21st of Aug. 2003 at approximately 5:00 a.m., a 27 year old female returned home after a night of drinking and assaulted her common-law spouse. Police Officers attended the residence and arrested and charged the female with assault. She will appear in court late Sept. 2003.
MALE CHARGED WITH ASSAULT
On the 21st of Aug. 2003 at approximately 1:30 a.m., Police Officers attended at a residence in regards to a domestic dispute. Investigation of the dispute revealed that a 50 year old male assaulted a female by grabbing the victim and biting her. Medical attention was not required. Police officers arrested and charged the male and he will appear in court late Sept. 2003.
SEVERAL BREAK&ENTERS
Police Officers are currently investigating several break and enters. The first being in the 200 block of Albert St. West, the 0-100 block of Wilcox where a television was stolen, the 300 block of Korah Rd. where video games and equipment have been stolen and in the 400 block of John St. where it is unsure at this time what items have been taken.
