TWO MORE ARRESTED IN DRUG BUST
On Friday March 12 the Joint Forces Drug Unit executed a warrant at 10 Donna Dr. and arrested three persons. During the search of the premises police found the following items: a quantity of individually wrapped marihuana packages, a high standard .22-caliber handgun with ammunition, drug paraphernalia a prohibited blowgun and $ 2350.00.

At the time that the warrant was executed two of the tenants were not present in the home. On Wed. March 17th the accused Nicole HUIZING, age 21, and Shaun NELSON, age 24, both of 10 Donna Dr. turned themselves in at the City Police Station.

They are charged with: 2 counts of Possession of Substance, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Stolen Property, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of a Restricted Weapon and Possession of a Weapon without a Permit. Both accused will be appearing in court on April 19th at 9:00 AM.


ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT
City Police arrested a 53-year-old male yesterday evening and charged him with two counts of assault. The charges stem from a disturbance the police were investigating. It is alleged that the man assaulted two persons, known to him, by grabbing the victims and throwing them or pushing them to the ground. The victims did not require medical attention. The accused had been drinking at the time of the offence. He will be appearing in court on April 19.

City Police also charged a 53-year-old male with three counts of assault. The accused, a west end resident, is alleged to have assaulted a female, known to him, on three different occasions. The assaults consisted of the accused grabbing, punching and/or throwing the victim about. The victim did not require medical attention for her injuries. This male will be in court on April 19.
