ABUSIVE IN RESTAURANT
39-year-old Andre Dallaire of no fixed address will appear in bail court this morning after being arrested by city police yesterday evening. It is alleged that Mr. Dallaire visited Muio’s Restaurant on Queen Street East and while there, started to shout and yell.
Other patrons became uncomfortable, and when staff asked Mr. Dallaire to leave, his disruptive behaviour escalated to the point where he threw a glass across the restaurant. Mr. Dallaire did leave, but upon exiting the restaurant, he kicked the glass front door, breaking the glass.
Mr. Dellaire has been charged with one count of mischief and one count of cause a disturbance by yelling. Alcohol was a contributing factor in this incident.
ARRESTED WHILE AT COURT
Yesterday morning 34-year old David Faubert of 249 Lake Street was in the courthouse for his court appearance on previous matters. Court Security staff noted Mr. Faubert to be swaying back and forth in a chair, and when asked if he was alright officers found his speech to be slurred and there was a strong smell of alcohol on him.
A query of the accused revealed he was out on a release document with conditions to abstain from alcohol. He was subsequently arrested for one count of breach of a release document and will appear in bail court this morning.
ARRESTED FOR USING COMPUTER
Yesterday afternoon City Police were called to a downtown business after information had been received that Daniel Greco, age 40, of 169 Biggings Avenue was in an office area using a computer.
Mr. Greco had been arrested on June 22nd by city police and charged with one count of possessing child pornography. One of the conditions of bail Mr. Greco had been released on was a term not to possess or use any computer system or have any access to the internet.
Officers were able to determine yesterday that the accused had accessed the computer on 2 previous dates as well. As a result of the investigation yesterday, Mr. Greco was arrested and charged with 3 counts of breach of his release document. He will appear in bail court this morning.
CANADA-WIDE WARRANT ARREST
Shortly before midnight last night city police received information that a male wanted on a Canada Wide Immigration Warrant was in a downtown residence.
When officers went to the dwelling, a male took off running through the back door of the address and a foot pursuit was started. Shortly after he was apprehended in the downtown area and transported to the police station.
24-year old Bangaly Camara of no fixed address will be detained until an Immigration Hearing can be held, which will occur within the next 48 hours.
TURNS HIMSELF IN FOR ASSAULT
Yesterday morning 29-year old Frank Caicco of 633 Cooper Street turned himself into city police on outstanding warrants. Mr. Caicco was charged with one count of assault and one count of failing to appear in court.
The incident of assault related to the accused pushing another male. Mr. Caicco will appear in court on November 1st in regards to these charges.
BREAK & ENTERS
City Police received 2 reports of break and enters yesterday.
A homeowner in the 300 block of Rossmore Road reported someone had kicked in the door to the home, and fortunately nothing was taken and the only damage was to the door itself.
A homeowner in the 300 block of Glasgow Avenue was not as lucky. That home was also broken into yesterday and the culprits went through the house leaving a mess behind as they emptied drawers and cupboards. An undisclosed amount of money and some jewellery was taken.
ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES
Yesterday morning shortly after 8:30 am, city police were called to Wellington Street East at East Street for a single motor vehicle accident with injuries.
A motorcycle driven by 58-year old John Nolan was travelling westbound on Wellington Street East when he lost control of the bike. The bike ended up lying down on Wellington Street and slid along the roadway. Mr. Nolan was taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of his injuries. No charged have been laid in the investigation.
CAR HITS BICYCLE
Shortly after 1 pm yesterday afternoon a bicycle and a car where involved in an accident in the 100 block of Queen Street East.
It is alleged that a bicycle being operated by Mark Millington of 1750 Queen St E was travelling westbound on the sidewalk of Queen Street East. A car driven by Doreen Opper of Hilton Beach turned from Queen Street East into the driveway of a civic address in the 100 block and collided with the bike.
Mr. Millington was taken by ambulance for treatment of his injuries and has also been charged with person over 10 years of age riding bicycle on the sidewalk under the City Bylaw 77-200.
