MISSED COURT DATE At 9:07 am yesterday, Kevin Jackson, age 37 of 114 Glasgow Avenue went to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Building to advised police that he missed court on June 5th and wanted to turn himself in.

At 9:07 am yesterday, Kevin Jackson, age 37 of 114 Glasgow Avenue went to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Building to advised police that he missed court on June 5th and wanted to turn himself in.

A police records check revealed that a bench warrant had been issued for Jackson's arrest for Failing to Appear in for Court. The warrant was executed and Jackson was charged with this offence. He will now appear in court on July 14th.

In a similar incident yesterday, Eve Nicholson, age 29 of 68 Curran Drive went to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Building stating that she wished to turn herself in for also missing court. Patrol Officers confirmed the arrest warrant for Failing to Appear in Court was outstanding and executed it at 9:41 am. She will appear in bail court.


PIZZA PIRATES PICKED UP
On May 5th, at approximately 11:00 pm, two males entered a pizza delivery business on Great Northern Road to pick up an order they had placed. Unable to pay for the items, one of the males struck a staff member and pushed the employee to the ground several times. The employee was not seriously injured.

After the altercation, the two males left the business on foot without out paying for the food they took with them. Patrol officers were called to the scene and an investigation was commenced. Yesterday at 12:08 pm, detectives arrested and charged Adam Reed, age 20 of 35 Pelican Drive with Robbery. He will appear in court on July 14th.


HE FOLLOWED TEENAGE GIRLS
Between March 1st, 2003 and June 9th, 2003 the accused, Michael Muto, age 22 of 704 Wallace Terrace repeatedly followed several teenage girls from place to place.

The victims would see the accused on several occasions at several different locations. The accused spoke to the females in a strange manner and this behaviour caused the victims to fear for their safety.

Police were subsequently notified and an investigation was commenced. Yesterday at 8:10 pm, Muto was arrested at the Police Services Building by Detectives from the Investigation Services Section and charged with three counts of Criminal Harassment. He will appear in bail court.


BREAK & ENTERS
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated several break-ins yesterday. At 7:56 pm a homeowner on Lawson Avenue advised police that thieves had broken into a shed and stolen a lawnmower, weed-wacker and blower.

At 10:30 am a homeowner on Morin Street told police that thieves entered their garage and removed a Raleigh bicycle and some tools.

At 12:13 pm a homeowner in the 400 block of North Street advised police that thieves had entered his garage and stole his gas powered weed eater.

At 7:48 pm a homeowner on Borden Avenue advised police that his home had been broken into. All these incidents are currently under investigation and anyone with information on them is asked to contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 949-6300 or Crime Stoppers.


FOUR-VEHICLE PILEUP
At 1:32 pm yesterday afternoon, patrol officers were called to the 100 block of Black Road for a four-vehicle collision. Officers learned that Thomas Eng, age 57 of 113 Forest Avenue was driving a 1999 Ford truck north on Black Road in the curb lane, when he stopped to let a vehicle turn left into a private driveway in front of his vehicle.

Carole Veilleux, age 41 of 627 MacDonald Avenue #610 was driving her 1993 Oldsmobile sedan behind the Eng truck and came to a stop behind it.

Gerald Brazeau, age 66 of 556 Shannon Road was driving his 1997 Ford truck in the curb lane behind the Veilleux vehicle and came to a stop behind it.

James See, age 62 of 812 Frontenac Street who was driving a 1996 GMC truck was unable to stop behind the Veilleux vehicle and struck the rear of it causing a chain reaction rear end collision between the four vehicles.

Both Eng and Veilleux received minor injuries in the collision. The vehicles all received light to moderate damage. See has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Following too Closely.
