MISSING PERSON City Police are asking your help in locating a missing person. Eva Maria Hugyetz, age 29 of Niagara Falls, was reported missing from a downtown Sault residence last Tuesday, August 26.

City Police are asking your help in locating a missing person. Eva Maria Hugyetz, age 29 of Niagara Falls, was reported missing from a downtown Sault residence last Tuesday, August 26.

She had been working as a dancer at a downtown club when she failed to report for work. She is described as being a white female with short blond hair, 183 cm (6 feet) tall, weighing 58 kg (128 lbs) with a scar on her upper right shoulder and upper right arm. Huygyetz speaks with a strong Hungarian accent.

WATCH FOR STUDENTS
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to remind motorists that school begins today and tomorrow for the elementary and high schools in the city and area. Children will be catching school buses and traveling back and forth to school on the roadways. Motorists are reminded to use extra care and caution when driving.


ARRESTED FOR THREATENING DEATH
Yesterday at 11:00 pm at a group home in Sault Ste. Marie, the accused, a 14-year-old female threatened an adult there by saying she was going to stab the victim.

Police were immediately called and at 11:05 pm the youth was arrested and charged with Threatening Death and Breach of Probation. A police records check revealed the youth was on probation to keep the peace and be good. She will appear in bail court today.


BREAK & ENTERS
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated three break-ins from yesterday.

In the early morning hours of the of September 1st, an unknown person broke into Churchill Plaza Hair Styling, 150 Churchill Blvd. and stole a box of chocolate bars from the store.

At shortly after 9:00 pm yesterday, the staff from the Salvation Army advised police that sometime since Sunday evening thieves had entered their building at 670 John Street and ransacked it. Shortly after 10:00 pm while still at the building, the staff observed what they believed were the thieves returning to further ransack. The males were described as being in their late teens, 5 feet 11 inches in height, weighing approximately 190 lbs, with dark hair cut in a brush-cut style, one wearing a white t-shirt and the other a black t-shirt and both wearing gloves. They were last observed running north on John Street away from the building.

Shortly before 11:00 pm, staff from the Welded Beam Division of Algoma Steel called the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service to advise that sometime between 1:00 pm and 11:00 pm, thieves had entered their main building at 150 Conmee Ave. Thieves went through the building and stole a grinder before leaving.
