4 ARRESTED IN ALBERT ST. WEST APT.
A Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrant that was executed on an Albert Street West residence lead to the arrest of 4 persons.
At approximately 3:15 yesterday afternoon officers entered the apartment at 151 Albert Street West and found the accused persons at a table with a large quantity of marihuana, cash and drug paraphernalia. The search of the residence also resulted in officers locating a brief case and a set of Ontario licence plates that were reported stolen. A prohibited weapon (flick knife) was also found during the search.
The 4 persons are alleged to have been in possession of 56 grams of cannabis marihuana and 3 codeine pills valued at approximately $1300. A young offender is charged with Possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime and is scheduled to appear in court on May 18th. The 3 adults charged are scheduled to be in court on May 17th.
William Hilton Hall, age 46 of 151 Albert Street West is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a controlled substance and 2 counts of possession of stolen property. 48 year-old David Wayne Laidley and 37 year-old Carla Lynn Laidley of 6 Alden Road are both charged with Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.
MISCHIEF CHARGES LAID
18 year-old Tyler Frank Tomas of no fixed address was arrested and charged with mischief and resist arrest after an incident at approximately 6pm yesterday afternoon. Tomas is alleged to have smashed a mirror off of a vehicle of a person known to him. When police were called and attended at the scene on Chestnut Street Tomas resisted the officers while in the process of being arrested. Mr. Tomas is scheduled to appear in court on May 17th.
YOUNG OFFENDER BUTTS WALL
A young offender was arrested and charged with mischief and breach of probation after damaging a wall at a group home yesterday afternoon. The young person is alleged to have put their head through the drywall in the dining room of the house causing a large hole to be made in the wall. The young offender will appear in bail court this morning.
